Test
3.1 Electric resisting strength: according to the 1005 method in GJB1217199, under normal temperature and pressure, the test voltage (effective value) between the conductor and the insulator is AC1500V/50Hz, and there is no breakdown or arcing phenomenon after minutes. The leakage current is less than 2mA.
3.2 Insulation resistance: according to the 1005 method in GJB1217-1991, under normal temperature and pressure, the test voltage (effective value) between the conductor and the insulator is DC 500V, and the insulation resistance is greater than 1000MQ.
3.3 Contact resistance: under normal temperature and pressure, the contact resistance of the waterproof connector is ≤ 10mQ when the male and female are plugged in.
3.4 Salt spray test: according to method 1001 in GJB1217-1991, the connector that has not been plugged in shall undergo a neutral salt spray test with a salt solution concentration of 5% sodium nitride solution at a temperature of 35+2 ° C for 48 hours without any corrosion that affects its performance.
3.5 Waterproof performance: under normal temperature and pressure,when the male and female connectors of the waterproof connector are inserted and the nuts are installed, then let it placed in 1m deep clean water. The test time is 1 hour, then there is no water leakage inside the connector. Cool it for 30 minutes at constant temperature and pressure and, as a result,the test meets with the requirements of 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3.
3.6 Contact separation force: The single hole separation force is 1.0-4.0N.
3.7 Mechanical life: tested according to the method GJB1217-1991 in 2016, the contact is inserted and removed for 3000 times. The friction surface of the contact allows for slight wear of the coating, but does not expose its base metal, and there is no mechanical damage that affects its performance. After the test, the contact resistance meets with the requirements in the test section 3.3.
3.8 Compatibility: both free connectors and fixed connectors of the same model and specification should be able to be fully inserted and separated.
